Emotional Eating

Do you compensate for imbalances in your life (lack of social contact and sensual experience, inner emptiness, unpleasant feelings and alienation from your own body) by eating? There are as many reasons to eat as there are emotions (eating as a reward, out of anger, etc.). In my coaching for "emotional eaters", we find out together which emotions you compensate for with (or without) food and define (healthier) alternatives to compensate for or express these emotions. At the same time, in addition to these alternatives (e.g. exercise, creativity, social contacts), contact is to be re-established between the body and the true feeling of hunger.

We are all emotional eaters, that's human. But what happens when we compensate for our emotions with food too often? Here are a few examples:

  • no regular appetite

  • binge eating

  • regret or depression after binge eating

  • to lazy to cook when alone/feeling lonely

During the 1:1 Coaching for Emotional Eaters, we will try to identify the following:

  • the type of habits you have developed in terms of food, its preparation, grocery shopping, ordering food and eating out/in company.

  • the type of emotions your try to compensate with (not) eating

  • we look for alternatives suitable for everyday life to express these emotions

  • establish (positive) contact with the body and its sensations

  • rediscover the feeling of hunger

Through this coaching you will become more aware of your habits and we will formulate new beliefs and find ways how to express your emotions than through (not) eating. Your body and emotions will work together more consciously and no longer against each other in order to have a more loving, natural and healthy relationship with the body.

Since health in the body begins with mental health, emotional coaching is to be seen as mental support in Ayurvedic nutritional counseling and is therefore essential in holistic health counseling. The coaching for emotional eaters can be booked separately or together with the constitution analysis. The coaching for emotional eaters lasts 60 minutes, online or in person, 90 CHF will be charged. You can choose the language of the coaching: German, English, French or Italian.
